Welcome to what we hope is the beginning of a long and truly wonderful relationship between our home and yours. Opened in 2018, Birch Island Veterinary Center is a long-time dream for our lead doctor Deanna Greer, who has been a Jacksonville native for over 15 years, and a veterinarian for over 20 years! Our practice will strive to be the home away from home for your dogs, cats, and small animal family members. We offer full medical, surgical and dental care as well as boarding, day care, grooming, and much more!

Our facility was designed from the ground-up to eliminate fear, anxiety, and stress and values the emotional state of our patients as much as their physical health. We have separate entrances, waiting rooms, and exam rooms for dogs vs cats, as well as slip-free surfaces and alternate exam locations to make your pet's experience as comfortable as possible.

As the only Fear Free Eligible resort and spa in the Jacksonville area, we offer separate entrances, play spaces, and suites for our feline friends.

Grooming

Your pet's physical and emotional well-being are always taken into account when grooming and, for that reason, we do require your dog or cat to be current on their required vaccinations and any medical concerns disclosed ahead of time.

I have used Birch Island Veterinary Center of about 2 years. Moving from the west coast was an adjustment for our three dogs. I was referred to this clinic after reaching out to the public for references. I was thrilled after my first visit. My three girls are comfortable at the visits and the groomers attached to the clinic are so good. The overall experience was great .The care, compassion, education and service I have received is comforting as my dogs are like my kids. I am satisfied and confident that my girls are cared for 100%.
